What it's like working with Alison

I have a warm, person-centred approach to counseling, believing in the power of connection and empathy. I am passionate about helping young people find their voice, build confidence, and develop tools to navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in supporting children and adolescents with anxiety, ADHD,emotional regulation challenges and the impacts of screen-time.
My counseling approach is strength-based and person-centred, incorporating a variety of evidence-based modalities, such as trauma informed care, the Polyvagal theory and solution-focused brief therapy. I integrate mind-body strategies that are tailored to each individual child and teen as all nervous systems are unique. I am committed to creating a non-judgmental space where every child and teen feels safe and supported to find their inner strength.
