What it's like to work with Zoe
Struggles arise in life that can leave us feeling defeated, confused, alone, or lost. As a counsellor, I bring a warm, curious, and empathic approach to support you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and work through challenging experiences, emotions, and internal conflicts that are holding you back. I will help you discover tools and ways to tap into your inner strengths so you can step into a more confident, empowered, and self-compassionate you.
My work is primarily with teens and adults experiencing challenges related to anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress, and self-esteem. I integrate a variety of modalities including person-centered, cognitive behaviour, dialectical behavioural, psychodynamic, strength-based, and emotion-focused therapies.
I completed a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My background includes supporting youth and adults in community settings and post-secondary education. I also have a background in professional sports and extensive experience with coaching at all levels including youth development, collegiate-levels, and internationally.
I bring forward my passion for working with people and fostering environments for creating meaningful and long-lasting change into my work as a counsellor. My goal is to provide a safe space where you are seen, heard, respected, and collaborated with to ensure you have the support suitable to your unique needs and experiences.
